Hydrel’s Tierra Luminaire Included in 2024 IES Progress Report
Compact IGF Ingrade family recognized as a significant contributor to the lighting industry
Atlanta, GA, August 19, 2024 – Hydrel (www.hydrel.com), an established innovator and provider of outdoor architectural and landscape lighting products, is pleased to announce its Tierra IGF Ingrade family has been selected for inclusion in the 2024 IES Progress Report, an annual publication recognizing significant contributions to the global lighting industry.
Published by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), a collegial community dedicated to improving the lighting environment, the IES Progress Committee's mission is to track significant new advancements in the art and science of lighting worldwide and prepare a yearly report of achievements for the Society. Acceptance in the Progress Report is based on an impartial judging process by the Committee, which evaluates each submission on its uniqueness, innovation, and significance to the lighting industry.
Tierra offers a higher-density LED array than other ingrades, paired with a precision optic and lightshaping films to achieve a higher intensity for accent lighting and excellent uniformity with no hot spots or shadows for wall washing. As a result, the compact luminaire provides precision uplighting for columns, facades, and trees. Hydrel's patented Flow-Thru technology and hybrid sealing make Tierra IP68-rated for resistance to both water and dust. The Hyline501 family offers superior optical performance and efficiency in a small profile. The surface mount luminaire is designed for floodlighting, grazing, or washing architectural features.
This year’s report was released at the IES Annual Conference in New York. All winning entries will also be included in the November 2024 issue of LD+A Magazine.
